This program was specifically created to introduce our innovative
TimeShift technology. This means that the user can pause TV broadcasts any
time on their computer similar to a home DVR. This custom software writes
video to a temporary file on the hard disk, so the user can unpause and
continue watching the same program. It's also possible to jump anywhere in
the buffered TV-stream to skip a commercial, or replay a video segment. Our
UI design for this project made sure that the software was very easy to use.
The "TimeShift line" as seen above is the interface control to navigate
buffered video and to set times for recording.
